The magic formula of the BIG TEAM regatta is team spirit, and the spirit of giving. The regatta is run by a couple of companies and an army of volunteers. No one is paid, and the companies donate their services. We try to get everything we possibly can donated, so that every dollar raised goes to help get kids out on sail boats.
Companies help by either becoming sponsors, or by entering a team in the regatta.
GEL
GEL's specialty is delivering team building events across the country that capitalize on wind, water and sailboats. GEL leverages the power of experiential learning to help teams strengthen the basic elements of strong group performance. GEL Experiences can be used to help new teams bond or cross-functional teams refresh skills and enhance relationships.
OCSC SAILING
OCSC SAILING is the leading sailing school in North America and has perhaps the finest venue for sailing classes or corporate sailing events. OCSC SAILING was founded in 1979 and has 26 years experience providing exciting and unique sailing experiences for individuals and corporate groups. OCSC SAILING has 50 select sailing yachts, ranging in length from 24’ to 50’, and a cadre of US Coast Guard licensed and US Sailing Certified instructors. OCSC SAILING personnel are renowned for their attention to detail and focus on safety.
OCSC SAILING and GEL work together to deliver high-quality leadership development and team building events in Berkeley and around the Bay Area. We've been doing it for years, and have done events for many blue chip clients.
The BIG TEAM Regatta offers corporations an opportunity to sample our joint programs while helping an extremely good cause!
